CC-Link is an open, established network technology with over 1000 products available from over 200 different vendors world wide (as of June 2009). The network is available in several different forms depending on application requirements. A key version is CC-Link Safety, which performs the function of connecting safety devices to a safety controller with a 10Mbit communication bandwidth. Hence wiring costs associated with hardwiring safety devices as was the case in the past can be eliminated, while performance is improved. In addition, comprehensive diagnostics are also available, maintaining system safety and reducing downtime.
CC-Link is administered by the CC-Link Partner Association.
